We provide a comprehensive range of tertiary level clinical and laboratory services.
Our clinical service management includes:
- general haematologic illness (anaemia, ITP, haematologic manifestations of generalised disease and Gauchers’ disease)
- haematologic malignancies (Hodgkins’ disease, lymphoma, acute and chronic leukemia and myeloma)
- disorders of haemostasis and thrombosis (haemophilia, peri-operative assessment, von Willebrand disease, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism)
We have a dedicated Thrombosis and Haemostasis Service (including the State Adult Haemophilia Service) and Bone Marrow Transplant Service (including the State Adult Allografting Service). Plasmapheresis services are provided for haematologic and non-haematologic patients.
We provide a 24-hour service for urgent assessment of acutely unwell patients. and have an extensive range of laboratory Haematology services, including a number of State-wide specialty laboratory services.
