Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation assists people with coronary heart disease or other heart problems return to an active, satisfying life. There is strong evidence indicating that cardiac rehabilitation helps to reduce future cardiac events.

Royal Perth Hospital offers a range of support options for patients and their families including:

  • phone support
  • clinics
  • group education
  • supervised exercise
  • home exercise programs
  • newsletter
  • referral to local programs/services
  • support groups for patients with defibrillators

Information about medicines, treatments, healthy eating, smoking cessation, return to activities and understanding fears and emotions is also available.

Group education

Group education sessions that place on Thursdays at 10:15am.
A timetable is available on request

Day: Tuesdays, Thursdays
Time: 9:00am to 1:30pm
