For the past 35 years the Medical Research Foundation (MRF) has been improving our community’s health by funding the world-class medical research, ideas and innovations being undertaken at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH).

In honour of the Foundation’s 35th anniversary in 2018, the MRF will be hosting events and providing opportunities for you to learn more about its history and share in the ongoing journey of a beloved organisation that’s quietly worked behind the scenes to turn today’s research into tomorrow’s treatments.

MRF CEO Joce Young is working tirelessly to double the MRF’s capacity to fund and support even more world-leading projects over the next 10 years.

By providing year-on-year funding and in-house facility support to researchers across a range of disciplines, the MRF has become a renowned beacon of hope - where exceptional thinking delivers exceptional outcomes.

“This will not be an easy task, yet the imperative to fund the great work of RPH researchers is profound,” Joce says.

“It will come as no surprise to many of those involved in research on the RPH Campus that grant funds, government or otherwise, are becoming difficult to secure. As a Foundation whose purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing of our community by supporting world-class medical research, ideas and innovations, we recognise this challenge and have set ourselves a lofty goal of doubling our financial corpus in 10 years.”
