It’s always encouraging to hear about how the work we do makes a difference in people’s lives. Take a look at what a patient recently said about the State Major Trauma Unit at RPH.

“I was extremely lucky that I live in Australia and was treated in one of the best health care systems in the world. I was lucky that we have an air ambulance in WA and it is staffed by such a highly trained crew. I was lucky that the doctor that travelled with the air ambulance (name unknown) was such a highly trained professional and filled me with confidence that I was in safe hands.

Importantly I was lucky that the Major Trauma Unit at RPH exists. The staff are competent, committed and caring. I know that I received the best medical treatment during a busy difficult time of the year.

Most importantly I was so lucky that the Major Trauma Unit has the most wonderful doctors. I was lucky that these wonderful people had chosen to work within a major public hospital.

It is difficult for my wife and I to find words to convey how thankful we are to each person involved in my incident and I can only ask that you recognise their efforts in any way you can.

Thank you.”
