Over the past two months the Friends of RPH have sold Christmas raffle tickets to patients, staff and visitors walking across the Level 3 Bridge.

On Wednesday 13 December, the raffle was drawn, with 18 lucky people winning a variety of gifts such as hampers, Christmas goodies and toys.

The proceeds of the raffle will go towards ‘courtesy bags’ which will be given to remote patients discharging from the Transit Lounge.

Friends Leader of Information and Administration Elfie said she is humbled to be able to bring joy both to the raffle winners and to the patients who will receive the courtesy bags.

“Patients flown in from remote areas don’t have many things with them, and the items they do have are usually in a plastic bag,” Elfie said.

“The courtesy bags are for the patients to have their belongings together and to feel at ease.”

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the raffle.
